Image Asset Manager
A proper asset library for AI image generation. Every prompt, variant, project and pound spent — tracked, organised and retrievable later. Native on Mac, with an iPad companion.

Free on the Mac App Store · macOS 26 or later.
Generative image tools are brilliant at producing pictures and hopeless at remembering them. Prompts get lost, the good variant is three folders deep, and nobody can say what a project actually cost. Image Asset Manager fixes that end of the problem: it treats AI imagery like a managed asset library, not a pile of downloads.
01What it does
Generate across four models
Google's Imagen 4 (Fast, Standard, Ultra) and Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, auto-routed based on whether the prompt carries reference images.
Budget guardrails in £
A per-generation cost and image-count cap, enforced before the API call is made. No surprise bills.
Reference images by role
Style anchor or subject anchor, capped at three per prompt — so iterations stay on-brand.
Variant families
Iterations of one concept stay grouped together, so nothing ends up as an orphan generation.
Clients, projects & tags
Assets can live in several projects at once with a designated primary, alongside a structured prompt library.
Spend dashboard
Every generation logged in GBP and visualised by day, model and project, so the numbers are always to hand.
02Private by design
The app runs entirely on your Mac or iPad. Your prompts, images, projects and API keys stay on the device or in your own iCloud Drive — Ionic Consulting has no servers and collects no analytics, usage data or telemetry. When you generate or refine, the request goes directly from your device to Google AI Studio or Anthropic using your own API key. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
03For Claude Code users
Image Asset Manager exposes a local MCP server on 127.0.0.1:47821 (loopback only), so Anthropic's Claude Code CLI on the same Mac can search the library, read assets and even generate new images straight into it. It's an optional, advanced feature — most users never touch it — and it's covered in the support guide.
Now on the Mac App Store.
macOS 26 or later; an iPad companion follows. All you need to use it is a free Google AI Studio API key.
